Abstract

1,182,861. Photo-sensitive diazotype materials. EASTMAN KODAK CO. March 22, 1968 [March 22, 1967], No. 13862/68. Heading G2C. A heat-developable, two-component diazotype composition comprises a mixture of a diazonium salt and a coupling component of formula:- wherein Z is a sulphur or oxygen atom, and R is alkyl, substituted alkyl such as hydroxyalkyl, cycloalkyl or alkoxy group. This composition is preferably mixed with a cellulose ether or ester and an acid stabilizer such as a sulphamic acid and coated on a transparent polymeric support. This material is imagewise exposed and developed by heating to produce a dye image which may be used as an intermediate master.
