Abstract

1,181,723. Reamers. F. MELCHIORRE. 29 June, 1967 [2 July, 1966], No. 30040/67. Heading B3C. A reamer for operating on through or blind bores comprises interconnecting axial bores 3, 4, the former of which connects with a groove 5, in which a cutting blade B is located. The blade is radially adjustable by screws 12, and is clamped in the adjusted position by screws 9, which deform the body 1. The blade has a longitudinal cutting edge a1, a2, for reaming a through bore, and an end cutting edge a1, a2 for facing the bottom of a blind bore. Guides 11a, 11b of tungsten carbide are arranged around the periphery of the reamer, and a removable centre 14 is provided.
