Abstract

1290101 Milling cutters FAGERSTA AB 16 Feb 1970 [21 Feb 1969] 7298/70 Heading B3K A cutting tool, e.g. a milling cutter, comprises a body 10 having at least one toolholder 11 adjustable relative thereto by means, e.g. opposed screws 16, 17, which can also be used to apply a prestressing load to the toolholder to prevent distortion or movement occurring under cutting load. The toolholder, which is adjustable substantially axially of the cutter may be further clamped to the body 10 by means of a screw 18, and carries a cutting tip soldered thereto or a removable insert 13 adapted to be clamped to an anvil 12 on the toolholder by a wedge 14 and screw 15.
