Abstract
1,173,710. Shuttleless looms. RUTI MACHINERY WORKS Ltd. 7 June, 1968 [7 June, 1967], No. 27332/68. Heading D1E. Particularly for a travelling wave shedding loom, coils of weft which have been wound on a flat blade 21 by a rotating element 34 are pushed along the blade by a pin 50 which extends through a slot in the blade and are located between releasable retaining means until they are taken by a dummy shuttle 18. As the coils are rushed along the blade by pin 50 another pin 52 acts in a perpendicular direction to move a spring 40 carrying a stop 44 to allow the coils to pass. The stop 44 prevents coils from moving back along the blade on return movement of pin 50. A second stop 43 on a spring 39 prevents the next coil from being unwound as a previous coil is picked. When the shuttle takes a coil it displaces the stops 43, 44 to facilitate removal of the coil and then as the shuttle is moved the stop 43 re-engages to prevent more than the desired amount of yarn from being taken. A blade 32 prevents the blade 21 from rotating in its bearings 31. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 1,029,373.
