Abstract

1281216 Weft selection; shuttleless looms A C MONGE 31 July 1969 [31 July 1968] 38535/69 Heading D1E A weft selection mechanism comprises a number of thread presenters 20a-20e mounted in common housing 19 which is movable by selection so that a presenter may be moved by a lever 54 to present weft to the inserter. The housing 19 is connected by a member 16 to a number of links 12 each having a tag 13 in a different position. When a link 12 is lowered by a pattern mechanism the tag comes into the range of pivoted levers 44, 44' which move it so that the housing 19 is pivoted an amount depending upon which link 12 was selected. Each presenter is arranged to clamp the weft during beat-up and cutting.
