Stands or supports for vehicles. - In a screw jack for motorcars, the lifting nut 4 is provided with trunnions 3 which are mounted in plates 1 secured to the vehicle and provided with two holes 9 for the reception of a locking- pin 9, by means of which the jack may be held in either the operative or inoperative position.
