Abstract

1,160,282. Tube joints. MANNESMANNA.G. 5 Aug., 1966 [5 Aug., 1965], No. 35228/66. Heading F2G. Coaxial tubes 2, 3 having tapered screw-threads are screwed into a sleeve 1 and have cylindrical sealing portions 5 separated from the screwed portions thereof by a transition area 7 and in sealing relationship with the sleeve, the areas 7 and the transition area 9 of the sleeve being juxtaposed and have lengths approximately equal to the length of the portions 5; the latter have a length greater than the thickness thereof. No appreciable radial forces exist between the transition areas. The terminal ends of the tubes abut an internal projection 4 of the sleeve.
