Abstract
1,145,922. Cement clinker. F. L. SMIDTH & CO. A./S. 10 Jan., 1967 [10 Jan., 1966], No. 1183/67. Heading C1H. [Also in Division F4] In apparatus for producing cement clinker, the unground cement raw material is flash - dried in a riser pipe 6 in the hot waste gas from a rotary kiln 2, separated from the gas in a cyclone separator 7, ground in a tube mill 18 and fed via an elevator 21 and separator 23 into the kiln 2 and there burned to clinker. The coarse fraction of matetial from the separator 23 is recirculated into the mill 18. A supply of water to a spray nozzle 31 is continuously or intermittently introduced into the gas in order to control the temperature and water content of the gas leaving the drier pipe, which supply is controlled in accordance with at least one physical condition in the pipe.
