Abstract

1,091,963. Tube mills; hammer mills; reducing cement. KLOCKNER - HUMBOLDTDEUTZ A.G. March 31, 1965 [April 8, 1964], No. 13633/65. Heading B2A. Apparatus for grinding and drying raw material, e.g. cement having 16% water and up to 30mm. grain size, comprises a preliminary comminutor, viz. a hammer mill 4 fed from a hopper 1 and a secondary pulverizer, viz. a tube mill 14 both in direct communication with a separator 11. Material is carried by a hot gas flow from a producer furnace 8 and blower 19, and coarser constituents of the material are recycled to the tube mill via a worm 12. The fine output is delivered to a cyclone 17.
