Abstract
1,102,834. Tube mills; reducing limestone. WESTFALIA DINNENDAHL GROPPEL A.G. 15, Feb., 1965 [14, Feb., 1964], No. 6420/65. Heading B2A. Apparatus for grinding limestone &c. comprises an autogenous mill 1, material from which is fed by a bucket elevator 2 to an air separator 3. Coarse material is fed from the separator along a pipe 5 to a tube mill 6, whose output is returned along a duct 7 and the same elevator 2 to the same separator 3. Fine material is collected in cyclones 8 and removed by a worm conveyor 9 and conduit 10. Hot gases from a source 11 are supplied to the mill 1 and the separator 3, exhaust from the mill 1 also being supplied to the separator, whence part of the gases are recirculated via a conduit 15 to the mill 1 again. A further part of the gas is filtered at 17, and the dust collected' is returned to the tube mill 6 via a conduit 19. The circulating air for the separator is supplied by a blower 4. Coarse material returned to the tube mill from the separator may be weighed, and the amount of raw material fed into the autogenous mill regulated accordingly.
