Abstract
1,141,514. Heat exchanger tubes. METALLBAU SEVELEN A.G. 25 Nov., 1966, No. 52822/66. Heading F4S. [Also in Division B3] A tubular heat exchanger is finned with a corrugated strip 1 which is connected to a metal strip 2 laid helically over and soldered to the inner, Fig. 6, or outer surface (Fig. 2, not shown) of the heat exchanger tube 3. The corrugations in the adjacent portions of the strip 2 are preferably offset and a plurality of side-by-side strips may be helically wound so that the corrugations in adjacent strips are inclined with respect to the tube axis.
