[Also in Division B3] A motor vehicle frame comprises a main frame a constructed of longitudinal members 1a and transverse members 2a, 3a, 4a, 5a and 6a and an auxiliary frame b comprising longitudinal members 1b and channel section diagonal stiffening members 2b welded together at 3b to form a box structure strengthened by an upper plate 5b and by a lower plate 6b. The auxiliary frame is welded or riveted to the main frame. The box structure 3b is connected by brackets 7b to the transverse member 5a.
