Abstract
1,127,810. Sequence operation electromagnetic switches. CHRISTOPH EMMERICH K.G. 16 Sept., 1966 [16 Sept., 1965], No. 41417/66. Heading HIN. A step-by-set electromagnetic switch has a plunger armature 3 carrying a pin 4 movable between two toothed tracks 5, 6 so as to move a half step (17-18) on energization and a half step (18-19) ;on de-energization and auxiliary armatures 7, 8 normally biased to prevent movement of the plunger armature 3, due to mechanical acceleration. On energization of the coil 2 armatures 7, 8 are withdrawn from the path of a pot 11 attached to the armature 3 which is attracted downward and turned as described above. The plunger armature 3 has s ecured to its upper end two contact springs 13, -14. The spring 14 engages a central fixed contact 15 and the spring 13 is moved into successive engagement with a ring of fixed contacts 16. The contacts may be separated when the plunger armature is in the attracted position or the springs 13, 14 may flex sufficiently for the contacts to remain in engagement.
