Abstract

1,127,001. Dispensing packages; rollerway conveyers; endless conveyers. M. E. L. EQUIPMENT CO. Ltd. 4 Nov., 1965 [25 Jan., 1965], No. 3156/64. Headings B8A and B8S. Packages are discharged from rollered shoot 1 on to conveyer belt 17 under the control of gate 7 and stop member 12. Shoot 1 is formed with inclined portion 6 to provide a gap in the line of packages. Operation.-Gate 7 is pvoted downwards by the operator operating device 10 to release parcel 2 from shoot portion 6 on to belt 7, and is then pivoted upwards to its original position. Stop member 12 is then automatically pivoted outwards to position 16 by device 15 to release package 3 to slide forward into the place of package 2. Package 4 slides down to the place of package 3 and stop member 12 is pivoted back into the gap now formed in packages 3 and 4. The cycle is then repeated by the operator.
