Abstract
1,009,128. Roller conveyers. GEMAG GERATEUND MASCHINENBAU A.G. Jan 16, 1964 [Jan. 18, 1963], No. 1930/64. Heading B8A. An inclined roller conveyer for pallets has means for spacing the pallets so that a second pallet is prevented from running into a first pallet which is being removed from the conveyer. The conveyer comprises rollers 4, 5 connected by a chain 8 driven by a motor (not shown) such that roller 4 turns faster than roller 5. Rollers 3 are freely rotatable. As the front edge of a first pallet 1 reaches the roller 4, the pallet is moved at a higher speed than a second pallet 2 on account of the higher peripheral speed of the roller 4. To more positively ensure that the second pallet 2 does not hit the first pallet 1 before the latter is removed, a claw 19 engagable with the pallet 2 is controlled by the pallet 1 reaching the bottom of the conveyer. In Fig. 2, a toggle lever system 13-16 is connected to the claw 19 and is moved to the position shown by a thrust rod 11 and a tension spring 12. A lever 9 connected to the rod 11 is engagable by the pallets. When the pallet 1 engages the lever 9, the rod 11 is moved to the left and pallet 2 is stopped, Fig. 3. When the pallet 1 is removed the pallet 2 is not released until the pallet 1 is at a predetermined distance from the conveyer, Fig. 2.
