Abstract
1,125,688. Magnetic switches. G. A. PLATON Ltd. 18 May, 1967, No. 23225/67. Heading H1N. A fluid-flow switch has its sealed magnetic reed contact unit 6 within its fluid-flow passage and the operating permanent magnet 12 is contained in a sleeve 11 on which a plunger head 10 is secured. Flow of fluid in the direction F through a constrictor ring 16 moves the assembly 10, 11, 12 away from the contact unit 6 against the bias of a compression spring 15. The tube 4 containing the contact unit extends diametrically across the casing 1 and the sleeve 11 which is of stainless steel is slidably mounted coaxially of the casing 1 in a bush 13 in a bracket 14.
