Abstract

1471912 Valves PEGLERS Ltd 8 Jan 1975 [13 Feb 1974] 6619/74 Heading F2V A push button tap has a flow control unit for unseating a valve 24, which has a bellows 54 containing fluid, with one end formed so as to define a reservoir 52 within the length of the bellows and separated therefrom by means such as the non-sealing, non-return valve 62, permitting free flow to the bellows and restricted return, a deformable end wall 50 of reservoir 52 being deformable by a push button assembly 72, 70, to displace fluid to the bellows to open the valve 24 so that the flow from the tap continues for a time dependent upon the fluid quantity discharged into the bellows and its rate of return to the chamber. A return spring 78 is provided for the button, its coils close to limit the depression of the button and its initial length is adjustable by a nut 76 on the threaded part of a push rod 70.
