Abstract

1,119,847. Presses. HOFFMAN RHEEM MASCHINEN G.m.b.H. 2 Aug., 1965 [17 Aug., 1964], No. 33033/65. Heading DIA. In a sleeved-garment pressing machine the underarm portion is pressed between a horizontally moveable part 4b and a fixed support part 4a whilst the shoulder portions are pressed by pressing heads 5, 6. The moveable portion 4b is operated through a foot control by a pneumatic piston and cylinder arrangement. The pressing heads are mechanically operated by foot pedals 15 through a bellcrank lever. Steam and air are applied to the pressing heads 5, 6 and the support portion 4 has a vacuum applied to draw off the steam and condensation.
