Abstract

1,112,954. Agricultural machines. ARNYANSKY NAUCHNO-ISSLEDOVATELSKY INSTITUT MEKHANIZATSII I ELEKTRIFIKATSII SELSKOGO KHOZYAISTVA. 24 March, 1966, No. 13027/66. Heading A1D. A machine for introducing liquid fertilizer into the holes is characterized in that the holes are drilled by units driven by hydraulic turbines 5 powered by the liquid fertilizer which is supplied under pressure from a tank 16. Flywheels 12 are fixed on the units which each comprise a screw conveyer 13 having a central passage for introducing fertilizer into the hole and a cutting tool 15. The units are mounted in a carriage 4 movable on guides 3 by hydraulic cylinders 6. When the units reach the required depth in the soil the outlet valve 23 of the turbines is closed by means of a tie 26 which opens a valve in the units to allow fertilizer to flow into the holes in the soil.
