Abstract

1,099,482. Display sign. WILLIAM L. BOWERS (LITHO) Ltd. April 1, 1966 [Feb. 12, 1965], No. 6301/65. Heading G5C. A display sign comprises a transparent sheet 1 bearing pictures 2, 3 in combination with a background card or sheet 7 which is of smaller dimension than the sheet 1 and bears a legend 8 thereon which is visible through a clear space of the transparent sheet, the transparent sheet being located on the background card or sheet by folded-back edges 4-6 of the transparent sheet to engage over edges of the background card or sheet. The background sheet may be of glass or plastics material with a rear white or fluorescent coating or else frosted and may have edge or rear illuminating means. The pictures are applied by printing or photographing on to the side of the transparent sheet nearest the background card. A foot 9 or ring 10 for supporting the device are attached to the background card 7.
