Abstract

1,093,582. Ventilators. WATERLOO GRILLE CO. (GREAT BRITAIN) Ltd. March 3, 1965 [May 28, 1964], No. 9073/65. Heading F4V. A slot diffuser comprises a pair of side walls 22 and 24 having inwardly directed flanges 50 and 52, and a centre wall 60 supporting a pair of independently operable pivoted vanes 72. The wall 60 is held in slots 64 of side wall spacers 28 by spring clips 66 and the vanes 72 are retained in legs 68 of the wall 60 by spring clips 75. The diffuser is located in the open side of a U-section air supply duct 16, a vane assembly 40 turning air flowing along the duct towards the diffuser. For locating the diffuser a bolt 34 extends through a flange 32 of each spacer 28 and engages a nut 38 of a U-section member 36 engaging flanges 18 of the supply duct. In a further embodiment, Fig. 4 (not shown), two diffusers are arranged side by side and have a common side wall.
