Abstract

1537167 Valves STIFAB AB 11 May 1976 [23 May 1975] 19397/76 Heading F2V [Also in Division F4] An air exhaust ventilating device comprises a hollow housing 4, two wall members 6, 7 extending across the housing, each having a smoothly curved lip portion 14 in front of the front wall 5 of the housing and a flat portion 15, the members 6, 7 defining a passage 16 having an air inlet slot 2 and an outlet 3 for connection to an air extraction duct, the portions 15 diverging in the direction of air flow with an angle of divergence # of between 5 degrees and 10 degrees, wherein the members 6, 7 are mounted so that the width a of the slot 2 may be varied while maintaining both members at the same angle to the plane of the front wall 5. In the form shown member 6 is fixedly mounted and the member 7 includes a planar portion 11 slidable on wall 5 and lockable in a selected position by one or more screws or bolts 10. Alternatively, both members 6, 7 may be slidably mounted.
