1,093,267. Protectors for pipe ends. J. L. INSHAW. May 16, 1966 [April 24, 1965], No. 17391/65. Heading B8C. A protector for pipe ends particularly for flanged pipes comprisesa tapered spigot (3) (Fig. 1, not shown) co-axially attached to the concave surface of a menisius-shaped, non- metallic, flexible disc (1) so that on inserting the spigot into the pipe end, the disc lies against the flange face of the pipe. As described, the disc (1) decreases progressively in thickness from the centre to the rim and the spigot (3) is partially hollow, the opening being at either end of the spigot.
