A helically corrugated tube 2 is reinforced with two wires one of which, 5, has a kidneyshaped cross-section and presses on to the crests 3 of the corrugations and the other, 8, is in the troughs. The reinforcing wires may be of metal or of synthetic material. A woven wire cover 6 is provided.
