1,067,133. Releasable fastenings. G. CAVIONI. March 13, 1964 No. 45790/66. Divided out of 1,067,132. Heading E2B. Springs 7 urge balls 5 against conical surfaces 4, so that they are squeezed against rod 3 and thus prevent it from sliding longitudinally through barrel 1. On turning handle 12, to rotate member 10 about the rod 3, pins 9 ride on cam surfaces to move sleeves 8 away from one another. The ends of the sleeves 8 press against the balls 5, to relieve the surfaces 4 of the spring pressure and to permit radial expansion of the balls so that the rod 3 is released for axial sliding motion.
