Abstract

<PICT:1066220/C6-C7/1> Sharp edges or burrs are removed from metallic workpieces by locating one or more workpieces between separable top and bottom members 32, 33 of a tool assembly surrounding and enclosing the part of a workpiece 31 being treated and causing an electrically conductive liquid to flow between a surface portion 311, 312 to be treated and an electrode, e.g. casing 52 and ring 54 electrically connected to cathode members 37, 38 extending adjacent to but spaced from the portion while passing electric current. As shown, the workpiece 31 is supported on and electrically connected to anode member 45; a duct 35 and sleeve 46 receive cathode and anode leads respectively.
