[Also in Division A4] Apparatus used to collect urine comprises a condom 10 the end of which is pierced and clamped inside a hose 11 by a short length of tubing 12, the apparatus also including an annular cushion 14 of a foamed plastics material which is fitted inside the condom to prevent buckling of the end. A flange 15 of the end of the tubing 12 holds the cushion under compression and the urine may be led via the hose 11 and a further hose to a flexible bag having a non-return valve. The hose 11 is of rubber or a plastics material.
