1,055,119. Hydraulic reciprocating motors. OY SUOMEN AUTOTEOLLISUUS A. B. Sept. 13. 1965, No. 39028/65. Heading F1A. In a hydraulic motor for a vehicle wheel comprising a stationary cylinder block 1 with radial pistons 3 engaging a revolving, multi-lobed cam track 6, and a rotary pintle valve 8, the pistons are held in their innermost positions when the hydraulic supply is cut off. In the embodiment shown, the pistons are held by wedges 36 on a locking ring 35, which is spring-loaded to its locking position and moved to its free position by working liquid pressure acting on one or more pistons 30 via passages 20, 21 and non-return valves. In another embodiment, Fig. 1 (not shown), the pistons are held in their innermost positions by pressurizing the motor casing.
