1,043,649. Plastics containers. MAUSER KOMM. GES. June 10, 1964 [June 10, 1963], No. 24123/64. Headings B8C and B8D. In a plastics container, a resilient plastics sheet 4 bulging into the interior of the container is arranged adjacent to the cover 5 which has ventilation holes 8 in its centre portion 7, so that the plastics sheet 4 can respond to changes in pressure conditions inside the container. Tight sealing is achieved by inclusion of the plastics sheet 4 between the lower edge and the edge of the container wall 1. To be capable of yielding more readily plastics sheet 4 may be provided with corrugations 6, 6a and deformation of the container walls is further prevented by a stiffening corrugation 2 in the wall 1 of the container.
