Abstract

104,298. Tarver, G. L. Aug. 26, 1916. Electrodes.-A dry cell having a zinc container 10 is provided with a zinc cover 16 which forms a part of the positive element. The carbon 15 passes through an opening in the cover 16 and is insulated therefrom by a wax collar 19 situated between the carbon rod and a flange 17 formed on the cover 16. The cover 16 may be made with a turned-up flange 18 which fits within the container 10, or with a turned-down flange to engage the outside of the container.
