Abstract

1,038,833. Seats. PRESSED STEEL CO. Ltd. June 4, 1964 [June 4, 1963], No. 22067/63. Headings A4J and A4M. The ends of flexible seat support members 19 and 14 are carried by rigid seat frames 17 and 11 with either rubber or other resilient strips of material 18, or moulded resilient nylon springs or folded strip steel springs 12, 13 interposed between the support members and the frames. The support members may be formed of a woven fabric, a synthetic or natural plastics material or a metallic or fibrous sheet. The resilient strips 18 and springs 12, 13 may be secured to either the support member of the frames. The interconnected support members and frames may have a resilient foam padding material moulded thereon to form a cushioning layer.
