Abstract

1,034,310. Tractor-trailer hitches. WITTEK GOLF RANGE SUPPLY CO. Inc. June 18, 1964 [Nov. 26, 1963], No. 25302/64. Heading B7T. [Also in Division A6] In a device for retrieving golf balls (see Division A6), the retrieving unit 10 is connected in front of a propulsion vehicle 94 by means of a V-shaped frame 97 extending above the unit 10 and having its free ends adjustably connected to the propulsion unit, whilst its apex is releasably connected to the retrieving unit. As shown in Fig. 8, the limbs 98, 99 of the frame are bridged by a plate 102 at the apex of the V, and are angularly adjustable about the axis of the bolt 110 by virtue of the pin and slot connection 106, 118. A member 114 bolted to the plate 102 comprises a socket 122 for receiving a mating projection 92 (not shown) formed on the frame of the retrieving unit, a wedge 125 operated by finger-piece 124 serving to hold the projection in the socket against unintentional displacement.
