Abstract

1,033,740. Reciprocating pumps and motors. DOWTY HYDRAULICS UNITS Ltd. and UNIPAT A.G. July 11, 1963 [July 18, 1962], No. 27618/62. Heading F1A. In an hydraulic pump or motor a slipper 16 engages against a cam surface 17 formed on a wear plate 18 rotatably mounted on a backing member, a connecting rod 11 extends from an articulated joint in the slipper and hydraulic bearing means act between the slipper and cam surface. The wear plate 18 fits loosely over a spigott 37 on the backing member so as to allow radial and axial movement relative thereto, the latter movement being less than the axial movement of the slippers. Each slipper is also free to rotate within a bore 25 in a flange 24. The cylinder block 1 is tiltable about trunnions 29 and a gear pump 39 supplies liquid to the inlet 3 or 4 of the pump.
