1,030,707. Straps and bands. J. A. BYWATER. Feb. 22, 1963, No. 7278/63. Heading A4X. A tension strap for use as a hose clip consists of a stiff resilient metal strip 11 of uniform width and thickness having a central band of transverse slots 12 at regular intervals, the metal 15 between being offset to provide oppositely facing projections 13, 14 forming ratchet-like teeth which when the strap is bent into a ring will slide in one direction but lock against movement in the other. A ring 22 prevents disengagement of the ends.
