Abstract
1,023,126. Filing papers. ROTADEX SYSTEMS Ltd. Feb. 25, 1965 [March 26, 1964], No. 12794/64. Heading B6E. A file for index cards comprises a base 2, Fig. 1 (not shown), with card-holding rails 3, and end stops 4 for the cards, and is divided transversely at 12 into two separate units detachably secured together. As shown, the top of the base 2 and the rails 3 are convex, and the end stops 4 are pivoted to the base at 11, Fig. 3 (not shown), but the top may be flat and the stops 4 fixed. Adjacent to the dividing line 12, one unit 2a, Fig. 2 (not shown), has side brackets 16 with screwed holes 19 engageable by screws inserted through holes 18 in the other unit 2b to secure the two units together. To increase the capacity of the file, an intermediate unit 23, Figs. 4, 5 (not shown), may be inserted between and detachably secured to the units 2a, 2b. In a modification, Figs. 6, 7 (not shown), the units are secured together by a spring clip arrangement. Posts, construction and securing to support. The rails 3 have a T-shaped part 50 for engaging the cards and a channeled base 51 with inturned lips 52 for receiving the heads of bolts securing the rails to the base.
