Abstract

1,022,910. Cartons for liquids. EX-CELL-O CORPORATION. Oct. 28, 1964 [Nov. 8, 1963], No. 43947/64. Heading B8P. A paperboard carton which may be coated with a thermoplastic material, has shock absorbing score lines 51 on at least one panel which prevent fracture of the carton material due to movement of its liquid contents. The carton is folded to the form shown from a single blank and is either heat sealed or has glue applied at the appropriate places. The score lines may be horizontal and may extend across the whole of at least one face, may slope at an angle to the horizontal or may comprise sloping scores crossing horizontal scores.
