Abstract
530,493. Cardboard. EDGE, R. T. June 26, 1939, No. 18565. Convention date, June 29, 1938. [Class 96] Pulp from waste paper, with which other pulp may be mixed, is formed into a web on a wirecloth 1, ribbed longitudinally by pairs of rollers 4, and grooved transversely by rollers 6 geared &c. so that each groove on either side of the web is directly opposite one on the other. The web is dried at 8 to form absorbent flexible cardboard which may be waterproofed with asphalt, tar-like, oil-like, resinous and varnishlike substances, lacquers, glutens &c. and may be used as a floor-covering.
