Abstract

1,014,994. Container closures. BOSTIK Ltd. Nov. 26, 1963 [Nov. 27, 1962], No. 44729/62. Heading B8T. The contents of a collapsible metal tube 10 are expelled through a hole 18 in a detachable, plastics screw cap 16 and are spread evenly by means of a ridged, flexible blade 20, a metal closure member 24, e.g. eye-screw or pin, being held during use in a pocket 22 and being used initially to pierce a metal web 14, and to close subsequently the hole 18 and so reseal the tube after use. The cap is preferably of polythene. The hole 18 may be initially made with a web closing the hole, which web replaces the metal web 14 and is likewise pierced by member 24.
