Abstract

1,011,184. Face masks. MARTINDALE ELECTRIC CO. Ltd. July 29, 1964 [July 30, 1963], No. 30238/63. Heading A5T A sanitary mask comprises a U-shaped supporting plate 1 having at least one serrated opening 8 for retaining the filter pad 11 in position by means of pushing a portion of the pad 11 through the opening 8. The plate 1 is formed with slots 2, 3 through which the head band 6, 7 is passed, the portion 6 of the head band forming a nose recess and a mouth aperture. The plate 1 and the slots 2, 3 may be formed with a ribbed edge. The plate is made of resilient plastics material and the pad of cotton wool or textile gauze. Specifications 680,449, and 835,383 are referred to.
