A haymaking machine comprises a frame beam 1 carrying two rake wheels 4, 5 and a beam 9 supporting at its end two plates 12 between which a sleeve 14 is arranged to pivot about a pin 15. A beam 21 carrying two further rake wheels is detachably supported in the sleeve 14 by means of a hook 29 fixed to a lug 26 on the beam engaging over a lug 28 and a pin 33 engaging aligned holes in the lugs 26 and 28. By disengaging the pin 33 the beam 21 can be rotated through 180 degrees about its axis, after which it may be pivoted together with sleeve 14, horizontally about pin 15 to bring it into the position shown in dot and dash lines in Fig. 1. A locking pin 19 engaging holes 18 in the plates 12 and holes in lugs 17 attached to the sleeve holds the beam 21 in position. A transport position in which the beam 21 extends substantially in the intended direction of travel is also envisaged. For use as a side delivery rake the beam 21 is disengaged from the sleeve 14 and is engaged with a connection 37, 38 on the beam 1 as shown in dash lines in Fig. 1. In a modification the end of the beam 21 which engages with the sleeve 14 is offset from the length of the beam whereby the beam, rake wheels combination turn about a line passing through their centre of gravity. In a modification (Fig. 6) a frame beam 67 has connected thereto a beam 53 which provides at its end a sleeve to rotatably receive a stub shaft secured to a further sleeve 57 which is adapted for connection to a frame beam 58. This beam together with the sleeve 57 may be turned about the axis q through 180 degrees to the position shown in dot and dash lines and is locked in position by a pin 68. The beam 58 may be detached from the sleeve 57 and is adapted at 35, 36 for connection to the beam 67 as shown in dash lines. In a further embodiment (Fig. 8) a beam 71 has attached to it a beam 77 curved in a vertical plane and having a pin 81 on which is journalled a beam 82 for pivotal movement about an axis B to the position shown in dot and dash lines, a locking pin 90 being provided. The beam 82 may be detached from its pivot and secured to the beam 71 as shown in dash lines. In this case the rake wheels 59, 60 have to be removed from the axis to be turned so that they operate in the right direction.
