Abstract
1,008,423. Haymaking machines. C. VAN DER LELY N.V. Oct. 26, 1961 [Nov. 2, 1960], No. 38424/61. Heading AlF. An instrument for laterally displacing crop lying on the ground comprises a frame beam 14 carrying rake wheels 16, 17 arranged to pivot with respect to a further frame part so as to be movable between a working position and a transport position, spring means biasing the frame beam 14 to the transport position being provided. The beam 14 is pivoted in a fork 11 rotatably mounted on a tube 9 connected to a further frame beam 1 and the spring means comprises interconnected spring steel rods 25, 26 connected to the beam 1 and to a flange 27 on the fork 11. A spring loaded pin 42 holds the beam 14 in its raised position and on removal of the pin 42, the beam 14 is turned to take up either of the positions shown in Fig. 1. The beam 14 may also be pivoted about its connection 21 with the fork 11 or removed from fork 11 and attached to sleeve 50 on the beam 1 so that the implement acts as a side delivery rake.
