Abstract

1,006,290. Laminating. VESCO Ltd. April 10, 1963 [April 17, 1962], No. 14890/62. Heading B5N. Apparatus for adhering sheet materials on to boards, e.g. linings of binder cases and showcards comprises a resilient roller 4a and a rigid roller 3a arranged so that the plane containing both their axes is inclined to the vertical and a work support comprising a table 10a and a roller 9a which is not directly in line with the nip of the rollers 3a, 4a so that the work 11a is flexed on passing between the rollers as shown so as to apply tension to the sheet material adhered to the boards. The boards may have fabric, leather or imitation leather adhered to one surface and/or paper adhered to the other face.
