Abstract

824,014. Covers for rollers. TRIANGLE PRODUCTS Ltd. Jan. 21, 1958 [Feb. 20, 1957], No. 5674/57. Class 80 (4). A roller for a brake testing machine has friction material coated surfaces which can be replaced without removing the roller from the machine. A driving-shaft 1 has circular plates 5 rigid therewith to which arcuate shells 6, carrying friction material 9, are secured by screws 8. Additional plates 5 may be provided and the shells 6 may be in end-to-end units to equalize wear. The shells may be flexible, coated on both sides, and drawn to the curvature of the plates 5 by the screws 8.
