Abstract

The hob (cooker top) has the same dimensions as known hobs (tops) with four gas burners 4, 5, 6, 7 and comprises an electric hotplate 11 in a central position in relation to the said four burners. The support plane 12 of the central hotplate 11 is placed at a lower level in relation to a support grid 14, 15 which is placed at a higher level in relation to the said plane. The overall size of the grid 14, 15 does not affect the part occupied by the electric hotplate 11.

Description

 The present invention relates to a hob with an auxiliary electric plate.

 Various types of tables are known for gas stoves, but they are limited to tables having from four to six cooking positions.

 These cooking positions are occupied by gas burners surmounted by a pan support grid or by electric plates.

 The complete series of gas burners normally applied to these hobs consists of four burners which, in the case of six-position hobs, are associated with two electric plates or an elongated burner for cooking fish.

 In the case of four-position cooktops, if you want to introduce an electric plate which is extremely useful for housewives, you must remove one of the four burners from the series.

 The object of the present invention is to provide a four-position cooktop equipped with the complete series of four gas burners and also comprising, without modification of dimensions, an electric plate.

 As part of the goal that we propose to achieve it is important to provide a work table in which the electric plate does not interfere, in operation, with the gas burners.

 Another object is to provide a hob in which the introduction of the electric plate does not pose significant problems in construction.

 A no less important object is to manufacture a cooktop at low cost by traditional systems.

 These aims, as well as other objects which will appear in the following, are achieved by a hob of the same dimensions as the known hobs with four burners, characterized by the fact that it includes an electric plate in a central position relative to the four burners and with its support plane at a level lower than that of the grids constituting supports for the casseroLes, placed above said plane and according to dimensions not interfering with the part occupied by said electric plate.

The appended drawing, given by way of example, will allow a better understanding of the invention, the characteristics which it has and the advantages which it is capable of providing:

 With reference to the figures described above, the hob is referenced as a whole by the reference 1 and comprises a shaped surface 2 in metal sheet provided with an raised external rim 3 and on which are arranged four circular burners of different diameters and of different powers, identified 4, 5, 6, 7 their centers being placed at the vertices of a quadrilateral.

 Lateral to two of these burners, a panel 8 with flame settings 9 and ignition button 10 is positioned on the surface 2.

 In a central position relative to the previously mentioned burners is an electric plate 11, the support plane 12 of which is positioned at a level lower than that of a series of supports 13, arranged on the burners and constituted by two grids 14 and 15.

Said grids 14 and 15 are exactly enclosed in the internal space at edge 3 and their bulk does not encroach on the part of the table comprising the electric plate 11 on which a pan can be freely placed.

 From what has been said above it clearly appears that the invention achieves the aims and objects projected, since in the same dimensions as those of a table with four cooking positions, there is also provided a central electric plate which does not interfere in any way with gas burners.

 In this way, it is not necessary to remove one of the four burners from the compLete series to make room for the electric plate.

 The invention thus conceived is susceptible of numerous modifications and variations which are all included in the subject of the concept of the invention.

 On the other hand, all the details can be replaced by other technically equivalent elements.

 In practice, any material can be used in any size, as required.

 It should moreover be understood that the above description has been given only by way of example and that it in no way limits the field of the invention from which one would not depart by replacing the execution details described by all other equivalents.

R E V E N D I C A T I O N S  1. Cooktop with auxiliary electric plate, the same dimensions as the known plates with four gas burners, characterized in that it comprises an electric plate (11) in central position with respect to the four burners (4, 5, 6 , 7) and with support plane (12) at a level lower than that of the grids (14, 15), constituting support (13) for the pans, placed above said plane (12) and whose dimensions leave stamp The part occupied by said electric plate (11).  2. Cooktop according to claim 1, characterized in that it comprises a surface shaped in sheet metal, provided with a raised outer edge (3) on which are applied said four gas burners (4, 5, 6, 7) of circular type and of different diameters and powers, Their centers being positioned on the vertices of a quadrilateral.  3. Cooktop according to claims 1 and 2, characterized in that said grids (14, 15) which constitute supports (13) for the pans are two in number and are exactly enclosed in the interior space at said edge ( 3), allow a pan to be carried freely by the electric plate (11).  4. Cooktop according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that a panel (8) with flame settings (9) and ignition push button (10) is positioned laterally at two of the burners ( 5, 7).
