Description

The present invention relates to a cooking appliance equipped with atmospheric gas burners of the type driving the primary combustion air in a venturi by a gas injector. In cooking appliances of this type, provision must be made for the supply of primary air and secondary air for each burner, which are necessary for the proper functioning of a burner. Secondary air is always drawn in from above the hob (or hob) of the appliance, while the primary air comes into the burner:
  • i) either from above the hob,
  • ii) either from below the hob, that is to say from the inside of the appliance casing.

However, also in case ii) the primary air, although arriving in the burner from the interior of the box, must be brought there from the top of the hob via ventilation holes provided in the above this plan: in fact, if the primary air was brought into the burner via ventilation holes in the box, the operation of the burner would be impaired each time the door is opened / closed. cooking appliance, which is arranged below the worktop.

This amounts to saying that case i) corresponds to burners of the so-called pot type, for which both the intake (or suction) and the primary air supply are made from above the hob, and case ii) corresponds to burners for which the air intake is from the top of the hob, while the air intake is from the bottom of this plan, a type ii burner can be equipped with horizontal or vertical venturi or even annular venturi and delimited by (that is to say disposed between) the body and the burner cap.

Incidentally, the above excludes from the present invention conventional cookers, in which the supply of primary air is practically double, because it is done not only from above the hob, but also by cracks and / or openings located below the cooking surface, the influence of door opening / closing operations being less in the case of a stove because the cooking cavity is substantially sealed, unlike the case covered by the present invention which applies to hobs (or tables) built into a worktop.

  • 1) soit autour des manettes d'admission du gaz dans le brûleur (cf la figure 1a), ce qui implique un écartement des manettes par rapport au plan de cuisson ;
The ventilation holes or primary air intake for type ii) burners are provided:
  • 1) or around the handles for admitting the gas into the burner (cf. FIG. 1a), which implies a spacing of the handles relative to the cooking surface;
  • 2) either in a hearth plate (see Figure 1b) or in a frame (see Figure 1c) at the rear of the cooking appliance, which implies a height of the hearth plate or relatively large frame to ensure a sufficient air suction section for proper operation of the burner.

However, the elevation of the gas intake levers or the excess thickness of the hearth plate or of the aforementioned frame, relative to the cooking surface, are unsightly and pose cleaning problems.

  • le plan de cuisson de l'appareil ne présente aucune pièce saillante par rapport au plan de cuisson, à l'exclusion des brûleurs ;
The present invention therefore aims to provide a cooking appliance equipped with at least one atmospheric gas burner with primary air coming from below its hob, which meets the practical needs better as devices of the same type, and aiming at the same goal, previously known, in particular in that:
  • the hob of the appliance does not have any protruding parts with respect to the hob, except for the burners;
  • cleaning the hob is easy; and
  • the aesthetics of this plan are maintained.

Document FR 1 127 095 describes a cooking appliance comprising a cooking hob and at least one burner of the type comprising a venturi, a gas injector for entraining primary combustion air in the venturi, a head and a body, the primary air intake being carried out from above the hob by at least one suction hole and the primary air intake being carried out from below the hob.

According to a preferred embodiment of this second arrangement, the cover piece, forming a cover for the perforated support (10) for primary air suction (50), has a body substantially in the form of an inverted cup (70) and a plurality of projecting arms (71), in particular in the form of brackets, protrude from the body of this cup (70) away from the cooking surface (30) and constitute, in combination, a grid intended to support a container for cooking food, said cup spacing means (70) being constituted by a plurality of spacing feet (72) which project towards the cooking surface (30), preferably from each of the arms grid (71), and which delimit two by two, between them and jointly with the hob and the lower edge of the inverted cup (70) covering the perforated suction support support (10), a plurality of slots suction (73).

According to another preferred embodiment of this second arrangement, the cup (70) for covering the perforated support (10) for primary air suction (50) is removable.

According to an advantageous variant of this second method, the cup (70) covering the perforated support for primary air suction (50) is fixed to the cooking surface (30).

According to yet another preferred arrangement according to the invention, the cover cup (70) of the perforated support (10) for primary air suction (50) comprises an annular gutter (74) formed in this cup (70) while around the burner (20) and forming a retention tank (or storage) of overflow liquid from said container.

According to the invention, the hob consists of a glass plate (30), in particular in tempered glass or glass ceramic, tightly fixed on a work surface (31), and the perforated support (10) d primary air intake (50) is fixed, in particular by screwing or gluing, on the one hand, to the glass plate (30) and, on the other hand, to the main support (21) of the burner (20).

The invention will be better understood with the aid of the description of the drawings, which are annexed to this description by way of nonlimiting example and in which the same numerical references which appear in the different figures designate the same elements or elements of the same type, that is to say having the same function; these drawings include:
  • FIGS. 1a to 1c, already described above, which schematically represent in section three solutions adopted in the prior art with regard to the arrangement of the suction holes for the primary air for combustion of the gas injected into a burner, that is to say either around the gas intake levers (Figure 1a) or in a hearth plate (Figure 1b) or in a frame (Figure 1c), at the back of the hob; and
  • Figures 2a to 2c which show, also schematically in section, the solution object of the present invention defined by an auxiliary burner support, which connects the latter to the hob and which is perforated with a plurality of ventilation holes formed around the burner so as to define a ring of primary air intake holes.

In FIGS. 2a to 2c, the reference 20 designates a gas burner, of the type entraining primary air in a venturi by a gas injector (not shown), while the reference 30 designates a plane (or a table or a plate) cooking fixed in a sealed manner on a work surface 31 of the cooking appliance, which - of course - may include several gas burners, only one of which has been shown for reasons of simplification of the drawings.

The primary air 50, necessary for the proper combustion of the gas injected into the burner 20, is sucked in by the injector via a plurality of holes 11, which are formed all around the burner 20 - so as to define a primary air suction ring 50- in a part 10 forming an auxiliary support for the burner 20.

This perforated support 10 for primary air suction 50 (defining a kind of perforated washer) is connected, in particular by screwing, to the body 21 of the burner 20 providing support for the cap (or head) 22 of this burner 20 as well as 'to the cooking surface 30, which can preferably be made of glass and in particular of glass ceramic or tempered glass.

It is therefore clear that the perforated support 10 for primary air suction 50 meets the aim of the present invention because, excluding the area occupied by each burner, of which the perforated support 10 is an integral part, it there is no protruding part with respect to the cooking surface 30, so that the entire surface of this surface is level, which moreover makes it easier to clean.

The aesthetic requirements are satisfied by the use of a part forming a cover for the perforated suction support 10 and defined by a sort of inverted cup 70 fitted with spacing means 72 relative to the cooking surface 30 for the passage of primary combustion air 50.

These spacing means consist of feet 72, located on the extension of the arms 71, in particular in the form of brackets, forming a support grid for containers (intended to contain food to be cooked using the corresponding burner 20) and projecting upwards from the body of the cup 70. The primary air 50 passes through slots 73 delimited between two consecutive feet 72 of the cup 70 and between the lower edge of the latter and the cooking surface 30 .

The cleaning of this plane is facilitated by the presence of an annular gutter 74 for retaining (or storing) liquid overflowing from a container during the cooking of food.
