Abstract

The lower edge of a roofing panel of composite construction is protected from absorption of moisture from the adjacent gutter by an integral bar of waterproof material. Use of such bars made of wood, perlite, plaster or a cellular thermoplastic material, pref. expanded in situ on to the panel structure is claimed. Used for panels comprising a laminate of e.g. bitumised felt, polyurethane foam, particle board, pref. with the bar also bonded to the panel structure by a polyurethane resin sealant injected into slots in the bar/frame joint.
