Abstract
Circulateur optique. Le moyen non réciproque 33 faisant tourner la lumière polarisée est interposé entre des prismes polariseurs 31 et 32 est formé d'une cellule de Faraday 43, 40, pour faire tourner la lumière polarisée de 45 degrés , par exemple sous l'effet d'un champ extérieur et d'un moyen compensateur 44, 47 (cristal optiquement actif ou anisotrope) faisant tourner la lumière de 45 degrés . Le moyen 33 fait tourner de 90 degrés la lumière le traversant dans un sens, mais non celle le traversant en sens opposé Il y a couplage optique entre deux faces d'entrée/sortie du moyen 33 et les prismes polariseurs 31, 32 les autres faces (au nombre de quatre en tout) de ces prismes servant respectivement de première, seconde, troisième et quatrième fenetres d'entrée/sortie. Un tel circulateur convient pour association à une optique à fibres.
