Abstract

The charge consists of an ejectable rapid smoke-producing charge in one or several parts, provided with a relatively large compressed allowing the smoke clou to be obtd. during a predetermined period. The rapid smoke-producing charge is pref. constituted by annular bodies in the form of briquettes disposed in front of or behind the principal smoke producing charge in the direction of flight. The central holes in the annular bodies form a continuous ignition channel and their frontal surfaces have hollowings starting from the ignition channel and intended to accept the ignition charges. Problems associated with retardation and lack of satisfactory development of the smoke cloud and shortness of the period of its intensive formation are avoided. The smoke producing charge is capable of deploying its total smoke cloud formation over a predetermined zone constituting the target and during a predetermined period.
