Abstract

L'invention concerne l'industrie du bâtiment. Elle a pour objet de nouveaux agents expansifs obtenus par chauffage d'une chaux d'une granulométrie inférieure à 250 mu dans une atmosphère comprenant de la vapeur d'eau à 100-400 degrés C ou du dioxyde de carbone à 350-850 degrés C ou par chauffage d'une chaux partiellement hydratée à au moins 100 degrés C. Les chaux encapsulées ainsi obtenues sont utiles dans des compositions cimentaires hydratables, en quantité généralement de moins de 30 % et de préférence de 3 à 10 %, sur la base du poids du ciment et de l'additif. La composition de l'invention est préférée pour la fabrication de produits manufacturés façonnés sans retrait au séchage.
