Abstract

Joint torique formé d'un corps mis sous forme d'un anneau fermé. Ce corps consiste en une âme 3 formée d'un cordon de fibres d'amiante épurées, torsadées autour d'une âme métallique, ce cordon étant enfilé dans un ressort métallique hélicoïdal 2, puis ce dernier est enveloppé de matière minérale tissée 5 et finalement une enveloppe extérieure lisse 6 est produite par imprégnation à l'aide de matière plastique. Application essentiellement dans les réacteurs nucléaires dans lesquels les joints doivent résister aux températures, à la radio-activité et aux fluides corrosifs.
